How we approach this at University Physical Medicine

    1

Cervical and upper-thoracic exam, with neurological screening for red flags.

    2

Imaging when clinically indicated — and reviewed against the mechanism of injury.

    3

Phased care: early gentle work to settle inflammation, then progressive mobilization and motion restoration.

    4

Documentation written for PIP carriers and attorneys so the records actually support your case.

Individual results may vary. Our providers will recommend a plan based on your evaluation.

    Questions patients ask about this

How long does whiplash recovery take?

Most cases improve over 6–12 weeks with appropriate care. Severe cases or those with disc involvement can take longer. We re-evaluate at clear checkpoints so you know if the plan is working.

Do I need to see a medical doctor too?

We have an APRN in-house. If your case calls for additional medical workup or referral, we'll coordinate it.
